Mark J. Wiedenfeld
Mark grew up in northwest Iowa. He played basketball at the University of South Dakota where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry with minors in biology and mathematics. Following graduation, Mark worked for a couple years as the laboratory supervisor in the quality control laboratory of a large feed company before attending the University of Iowa College of Law where he graduated with high distinction. Since graduating from law school, Mark has worked in private practice in Des Moines specializing in civil litigation throughout the state of Iowa.
Mark Wiedenfeld came to Elverson Vasey in 2016. His legal practice includes more than 35 years of experience in handling litigation, trials, and appeals with regard to personal injury, construction, dramshop, and other civil matters. As a result of his legal work, Mark has been recognized by his peers for inclusion in several invitation-only organizations for preeminent trial lawyers, including the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers, and more recently the American College of Trial Lawyers. In addition, he has been active in Iowa’s legal community, holding a number of leadership positions in the Iowa Defense Counsel Association, the Iowa State Bar Association and the Polk County Bar Association.
